The earth is the Lord's and all that is in it; the world, and those who live in it.  (Psalm 24:1)

The 2017 Stewardship Campaign with the theme: "Stewardship-THE way of life for people who belong to God"  will get underway beginning Sunday, September 18.  It will run through Sunday, October 9 culminating with the dedication of pledges and Ministry Opportunity Booklets on that day.  There will also be a special Stewardship Coffee during the coffee hour on October 9.  Please look for your Stewardship Packet in the Narthex on September 18.

A  3-session video series on Biblical Stewardship presented by Mark Allan Powell, Bible scholar and theologian from Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Columbus, OH, will be shown in the fellowship hall during the Sunday school hour on the first three Sundays of the Stewardship Campaign.  The schedule for the video series is as follows:

Session 1:  Belonging to God - September 18
 Session 2:  What is a Steward - September 25
Session 3:  Treasures and Hearts - October 16

Mark Powell is a gifted speaker with a thought-provoking message.  Please plan to take advantage of hearing him speak during at least one session.

A special note:  Completed pledge cards and Ministry Opportunity Booklets will be collected during the offering at both services on Sundays, September 18 through Sunday, October 9.

The Discipleship Committee

God’s blessings from the Our Saviour Lutheran Church (OSLC) Discipleship Committee!  Thanks to the efforts of many volunteers, our goals for 2016 are being realized.  We continue opening our monthly meetings with Dwelling in the Word, as we strive to discern what God is saying to us today.

We are concentrating on two specific areas within the church:  Hospitality and Stewardship.  As we search for ways to increase our Hospitality, we schedule coffees between church services, schedule greeters for each regular church service, contact visitors to our services, and assist in the New Member process.

UMBRELLAS:  The Spiritual Discipline of ‘Hospitality’ has been extended by the Discipleship Committee through the provision of golf-style Umbrellas for rainy days.  Special thanks to Pam and Hopeton Fearon for design and construction of the Frank Lloyd Wright-motif Umbrella Stand located in the Narthex.  Volunteers from our LYO Youth Group and the Congregation will aid in your parking lot-to-church ventures  - - - enhancing your worship experience.

For future planning, we’re interested in what type of event you’d support and/or attend.  Please CLICK HERE to send your suggestions to the Committee.

We extend an invitation to all interested parties to visit us at Our Saviour Lutheran.

We would like to get to know you.

Come and worship with us!

In His Service,

The Discipleship Committee: Suzanne Kaehlert, Joan Everson, and Co-Chairs Linda Prosser and Chuck Keller
